The Eclectic Green Witchery

Conjured up on March 9th 2020 and officially manifested on June 3, 2020.

I've been practicing pretty much my whole life, but only recently came out of the broom closet December 2019. I hid what I truly believed due to fear of what people would think. What I believe in, do and provide is too good to be ashamed of. To this day Witchcraft still carries negative connotations to it and I'm here to change that mindset.

Misconceptions:

No, I do not worship Satan. In fact, I don't even think he exists.

No, I do not sacrifice goats or any other animal for that matter.

No, I do not call upon demons.

No, I do not turn people into toads.

No, I do not cook children and eat them.

No, I do not melt in the rain.

No, I do not ride a broom, although I'd like too.

No, I am not evil.

Reality:

My practice is nature based.

Help people find peace & serenity.

Offer recipes for natural remedies using local plant life.

Offer guided meditations.

Offer relaxation techniques.

Offer blessings, protections and healing.

Offer techniques to aid in dealing with certain situations.

Offer love, peace and compassion.

Offer entertainment with my dogs in the background of most videos... :)

On humid days I may have "witchy" hair.

I have been known to throw people in freezers - if you know, you know.

Peace, love, & tolerance for all beings everywhere, should be taught and encouraged. Think of the beautiful world we would have.

"The word "Witch" carries so many negative connotations that many people wonder why we use the word at all. Yet to reclaim the word "Witch" is to claim our right, as women, to be powerful; as men, to know the feminine within as divine."  ~ Starhawk

Eclectic with Green Tendencies

Eclectic means, an individual approach that picks and chooses from many different traditions and creates a personalized form of witchcraft that meets their individual needs, desires and abilities. They do not follow a particular religion or tradition, but study and learn from many different systems and use what works best for them.

A green witch is someone who works with the elements, the local land spirits, and all things green. The green witch is able to harness the energy of the natural sources by developing a close connection with the plants, animals, and herbs.

A green witch specializes in the earthen world. Green witches usually practice a traditional form of witchcraft in which the earth, trees, herbs, plants and flowers are consulted for their medicinal and magical correspondences.

They attempt to connect with the earthen world with New Age methods such as meditating and natural healing methods. The focus is on protection, grounding, healing and blessings....but when you add eclectic to the mix, the green witch is not limited to only those types of magickal abilities. They are very capable of performing bindings, hexes and curses, but typically use those as a last resort.

Many green witches are vegan or vegetarian. Or at least very thoughtful of what living beings are sacrificed so that they can keep on living. Thanks and gratitude are always given prior to a meal.
